Brands

Brands represent the manufacturers or labels of the products you sell. Organizing your products by brand can be beneficial for both internal management and for customers who prefer specific brands.

Creating a New Brand

  1. On the left sidebar of the application, click on the “Brands” menu item.
  2. You will be directed to the Brands page. Look for a button labeled “Add New Brand” or similar and click it.
  3. A new interface element (either a modal or an expanded section) will appear, prompting you to enter the name of the brand.
  4. Type the Name of the brand you wish to add in the text field. For example, “Nike”, “Apple”, “Nestlé”.
  5. Click the “Save” button to create the brand.
  6. The newly added brand will now be visible in your list of brands.

Editing a Brand

  1. Navigate to the Brands page. Here, you will see a list of all the brands you have previously created.
  2. Find the brand that you need to edit. Each brand in the list should have an “Edit” action associated with it, typically represented by a pencil icon.
  3. Click the “Edit” button for the selected brand.
  4. An editing area will appear, usually with the brand’s current name in an editable field.
  5. Modify the Name of the brand as required.
  6. Click the “Save” button to update the brand name. The changes will be immediately reflected in your brand list.

Deleting a Brand

  1. Go to the Brands page in the application.
  2. Locate the brand that you want to remove. Each brand in the list should have a “Delete” button, often depicted as a trash can icon.
  3. Click the “Delete” button corresponding to the brand you want to delete.
  4. The application will likely ask you to confirm this action to prevent accidental deletions. Confirm by clicking “Yes” or “Confirm”.
  5. Important: Similar to categories, you will not be able to delete a brand if there are any products in your catalog currently associated with that brand. The application will notify you of this restriction, and you will need to update the affected products before you can delete the brand.

By effectively managing your brands, you can further refine your product organization and provide a better Browse experience for yourself and potentially for reporting purposes.
